Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
